Children’s TV Presenter Makes Musical Album Debut

0 Comments 31 January 2008

2008 has got off to a musical start for Fresh Egg client; Dave Benson Phillips, one of Britain’s best-loved Children’s TV presenters.

DAVE BENSON PHILLIPS, star of PLAYDAYS, FUN SONG FACTORY, PLAYHOUSE DISNEY and cult CBBC gameshow, GET YOUR OWN BACK!, is releasing two musical CD’s for children in February 2008.

‘DAVE’S ARE WE THERE YET? ALBUM’ and ‘DAVE’S NAP ATTACK ALBUM’ will be sold through the UK’s Early Learning Centres from 1st February 2008.

The two albums have been a long-running project for Dave and his friend, Jon Fielder. Between them, they played the many musical instruments, including guitars, banjos, ukeleles, triangle, pianos and keyboards, covering musical styles ranging from acoustic folk, jazz, reggae, a cappella, ska, country and even Bavarian oompah music!

‘DAVE’S ARE WE THERE YET? ALBUM contains twenty travelling themed songs. The Wheels on the Bus, Ten Green Bottles, Nelly the Elephant and The Happy Wanderer are just some of the songs children can listen to while they are making any journey.

In complete contrast, ‘DAVE’S NAP ATTACK ALBUM is his take on the chillout CD concept. Smooth songs to help calm children for a nap or good night’s sleep. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Lavender’s Blue and even Lou Reed’s Perfect Day, get the DBP acoustic treatment.

Dave’s rubbery face adorns both covers and there is helpful musical information for the potential customer in the top right corner of each album.

“I am totally excited about my albums going on sale in the shops and about that download thing too.” said Dave. “It’s always been an ambition of mine to make a musical album series for children to listen and sing along with, and for grown ups to enjoy hearing familiar songs in different musical styles”.

Both albums will also be available for download at www.kidsmusic.co.uk and if you need the song lyrics, you can download them from Dave’s website, www.davebensonphillips.co.uk

Dave is very proud of his albums, he wants the world to listen to his songs and he’s not afraid to talk about it.
