Combating The Crunch With Fresh Egg


Fresh Egg clients large and small have reported very encouraging Christmas trading figures online.  In many cases, sales have not only stood up compared to last year but have actually grown.

Luxury department store Liberty has reported almost record Christmas sales. The store itself, which benefits from its prime Regent Street location, was certainly boosted by foreign tourists taking advantage of the pound's weakness.  However, Liberty said it was also helped by its e-commerce business, which showed "particularly significant" growth over the month of December and made a substantial online contribution to the company’s overall success.

Perhaps the most encouraging news comes from Forever Crystal, supplier of luxury crystal glassware and a Fresh Egg client only since September 2008. After a less than positive experience working with a different search engine optimisation company early in the year, Forever Crystal briefed Fresh Egg to achieve page 1 rankings using only organic and ethical promotional practices and stressed the importance of the forthcoming Christmas season to their business.

Forever Crystal realised that the likelihood of significant progress before Christmas was a big ask, but expressed the view that, if any SEO company could achieve results before Christmas, it would be Fresh Egg.  The results have been beyond their wildest expectations.  Turnover in the three months up to Christmas 2008 was up nearly 150% and Adwords spend down compared to the same period in 2007.   As far as Forever Crystal is concerned, Fresh Egg is “Top of the Glass”!
