Fresh Egg whisks up barrels of creativity

Fresh Egg’s interpretation of hit-BBC cookery show, The Great British Bake Off, rounded off my third week here with this lively and vibrant company!

Dropping in a few classic Mary Berry idioms, I managed to persuade the existing judges of my culinary kudos and weasel my way into a free lunch … I mean, coveted member of the judging panel!

Without question, part 1 of our very own ‘bake off’ has set the scales swinging in full motion with an array of talented amateur chefs proudly displaying their dishes.

Aside from the enticing aroma of light, crispy pastry filling the office floor this week, we’ve also honoured International Talk Like a Pirate Day with a company fancy dress day, welcomed in a local community group for a chat with friendly MD, Adam, and held Worthing’s inaugural ‘games night.’

OK, so the last one’s a bit of an exaggeration, but you’ve got to start somewhere, and I’m sure with 1,300 sq. foot of office space to play with it’s only a matter of time before we’re rivalling Mecca Bingo status – especially if the boys play nice and invite the girls along next time!

We also welcomed three more new starters this week, who, come to think of it, probably found it a little strange walking into an office full of questionably-dressed Swashbucklers on their first day!

However, we should probably just be grateful TLAPD didn’t clash with the afternoon tea we put on for the ‘U3A’ (University of the Third Age) silver surfers; try explaining that one, Adam!

An exhausting but brilliant third week with Fresh Egg … I can’t wait to see what else is in store!
