Google Shopping Results Change

1 Comment 27 March 2009

I was working honest! I was looking at Voice Recorders when I noticed a change in the way Google are displaying product data in the Shopping Results for Voice Recorder. This may have been going on for some time, but it’s the first time I have seen Google reporting how many stores are selling each product.Google Shopping Results

I don’t know if anyone else has seen this yet, but it certainly seems like Google are having a spring clean. This following Patrick Altoft’s earlier post on Google adding comment numbers to Sitelinks.

Yin and Yan
I do see good converting traffic coming from shopping results when a site is gaining visibility from this format.

Potentially a full deployment of the number of stores selling an individual product could affect those sites with good Shopping visibility, but on the flip side it will open the doors to other retailers who are not being displayed in the current top 3 results.

As with anything, there are always winners and losers!

  1. When did the change happen? I have not seen it anywhere. Has Google disabled it?
