The USP of Google TV is that of convergence, something which certainly isn’t new; people started getting excited about the ‘black box in the lounge that does everything’ since games consoles were first able to Play DVDs. What the software does do however is bring Google’s intuitive search function to the television medium, something which has long been begging for a usability overhaul.
