The Fresh Egg blog

Back to the Grindstone

Well, after two weeks baking in Lindos in Rhodes, it’s almost a relief to get back to the Fresh Egg fold.  It’s certainly more temperate than the average 42 degrees recently experienced although in terms of work things are certainly as hot around here.  I’m gone for a fortnight and already have noticed subtle and not so subtle changes in the world of SEO and Web Design in my absence!

New Look Blog

Down to the hard work of Jerome Degl’Innocenti and Dan Ellis,  it's light-years ahead of what we had before!  The change seems to have knocked back our Advertising Age Top 150 rating, but we’ll catch up again no doubt.    The new look Blog is based on a Woo-Themes WordPress theme which has been customised with a smattering of social media plugins. One of the most impressive automatically formats the layout according to which mobile device you view the blog on.  Try firing up the Fresh Egg blog on your iPhone or Android phone!  You may also have spotted that Fresh Egg now has a Facebook fan page and a Flickr account – have a gander.  I may upload some holiday snaps.

This is perhaps the most disconcerting, not change really, but revelation.  I missed Radio 4 I will admit.  Place we stayed at had all sorts of typical Greek attractions – electrical fittings hanging off wall, naff TV set on which you could only get three channels including the fantastic (and after a while strangely addictive)  Italian  "ModaTV"  - non-stop 24 coverage of catwalk fashion shows.   So hearing the dulcet tones of the Home Service was one of the sure signs that we were back in dear old blighty.  Imagine my shock though when Kathy Burke, guesting on Desert Island Discs, admitted that her “luxury” for the desert island was a life size, laminated photograph of James Caan!
