Introducing Our New Recruit
When Alex was asked to write a blog post about himself, his initial reaction was: “no, because it’s a bit up myself”. Not wishing to encourage Alex to massage his own ego, I took it upon myself to introduce the latest addition to our fast-expand bank of talent. Alex has a web design and development background, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge to the role of SEO Engineer.
In his previous role as an in-house designer and developer, Alex was exposed to every aspect of the web industry from initial design through to front and back end development, testing and the implementation of SEO strategies. When the opportunity to join the Fresh Egg team came up, he jumped at the chance. He hasn’t completely sold out though, and continues to work on a handful of freelance design and development projects for a variety of clients including photographers, musicians and independent clothing labels.
Alex would describe his life as leafy, scattered with the occasional dog mess along the way. He is a keen runner, preferring the marathon and half-marathon distances, as well as being a regular (albeit fair weather) cyclist and has cycled to Paris on a couple of occasions. He also plays bass guitar to a fairly high standard and has been known to juggle gigging commitments with up to 6 bands at a time.
Performing multiple tasks simultaneously will certainly come in handy at Fresh Egg as Alex begins his foray into the dynamic, ever-changing world of SEO. Let’s just hope his ability to make long term positional gains is as good as his long distance running abilities, and his fingers skim the keyboard as effortlessly as they do the strings on his bass guitar! We are pleased to have Alex on Board and wish him a happy and productive future at Fresh Egg!
