A tribute to Jaamit
It’s with the deepest regret that I am writing this blog post.
I heard today that Jaamit has died, I can’t and don’t want to believe the news.
He was an inspiration to everyone that he worked with and his reach went far beyond the office walls. He touched everyone within the search industry, he was a friendly, popular character who had an urge to help anyone he could.
Our thoughts are with his wife, family, friends, and new work colleagues. I have been reading all the comments posted on the internet today – I wish Jaamit could be around to witness just how popular and well liked he is, even people who had never met Jaamit before are devastated to hear the news.
Life doesn’t always make sense and I can’t understand why this young man has been taken away.
Rest in peace Jaamit.

Still hasn’t sunk in – he was a wonderful man
Completely stunned :(
What can one say about Jaamit? He was known to me for his outstanding achievments within the SEO world well before I joined FE and feel lucky to have worked with him. But more importantly, I feel blessed I had the chance to get to know him in person because he was what a rare individual; friendly, modest and with great sense of humour. Big loss…
Such very sad news. Peace be with you Jaamit x
I can’t believe it; he was a beautiful human being and I feel blessed to have known him.
Shocked to the core!
Jaamit used to manage our SEO account, Myself and all of us at SelectSpecss are deeply saddened by this news :(
RIP Jaamit.
This is really sad news!
miss you dude
Hi Guys,
This is a lovely message to put out about Jaamit. I know how sad you all are and I’m thinking about you all. Will see you soon.
Nikki x
This is truly terrible news and a blow to all of us.
Jaamit was a good friend, mentor, all round great guy and was very respected in the industry that he was in.
He will be very sadly missed not only by myself but all colleagues here at Fresh Egg that had the real pleasure in working with him.
I wish all of his other friends and family members well in this awful time.
I have just read some touching tributes – here is a link to one: http://searchtalk.co.uk/2010/11/jaamit/
Rishi has also posted a lovely blog that also contains details about the funeral:

I will be going to the wake/funeral on Saturday. I will be getting the train over from Worthing. Please let me know if you are heading over from Worthing or Brighton.
OMG> I didn’t realise it was Jaamit. I’m stunned. Passing out the biggest love to all his close friends and family. I worked with him only briefly but saw him as kind and very smart.
sn
Jaamit managed our account whilst at Freshegg, a great guy and very talented – very sad news. R.I.P
Met him once, very talented young man, this is very sad. Wish his family well.
Jaamit is friend of friend, I just met him once in an official party really nice person. He is one of those rare men who made a strong impact on your mind. Its hard to believe that he is not with us.
Its hard to lose them who really deserve to be in your life….
Its hard to believe it…..
I can’t believe it,it’s not true,god…
Still utterly shocked by this, even after nearly a year. You never realise how much something like this will affect you until it happens to someone you know well. You’ll always be remembered
It’s nearly one year on, much has changed in search space but Jaamit was a great inspiration to us all. You have helped many companies with your professionalism and a friend to many.
Best wishes,
James
