It’s Movember – Let’s Grow!

Laura McDonald

It’s that time of year again: get yourself clean shaven, abandon razor for 30 days and prepare to grow and groom that moustache like a true gentlemen for the month of November:

It’s Movember people!

Much more than just seizing the opportunity to impersonate the handsome and hairy, Tom Selleck, or the hairmungous handlebar heavyweight, Hulk Hogan, the valiant Mo Bros are pitching themselves as walking advertisements to raise funds and awareness for men’s health, particularly prostate and testicular cancer.

Fresh Egg got behind the Movember and its men’s health partners, Prostate Cancer UK and the Institute of Cancer Research. Every little bit we can raise will go towards programmes focusing on awareness, education, survivorship and research. Money well spent we say.

So please support our efforts if you feel strongly about this cause too. Our team of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas will be dedicating themselves to the Mo for the 30 long days of November, that’s four weekends worth of social events where they may have to appear looking slightly more Ian Beale than Clark Gable. The Mo Sistas in the team will be supporting them all the way, thinking up creative ways to support the cause!

Our Fresh Egg Mo Team will be profiled on the Fresh Egg blog, sharing their aspirations for mo growth – will they go for the trucker look, or a refined Poirot-style tache…come back to find out. There’s certainly plenty of inspiration on our Facebook page!

Here are a few of the Fresh Eggers taking part:

Needless to say, any Mo Bro who allows their mo to become unkempt and join their side burns or likewise, their chin, will be disqualified, for that – the Movember team reliably informs us – is officially a beard and goatee respectively.
