I had a few travels last week. (that’s unusual given that I am usually chained to my desk in the office) It’s always nicer to venture out when the sun is shining and Friday was no exception and where better to visit then Brighton on a beautifiul Spring Day? (If you think there is somewhere better, then let me know)

My end destination on Friday was the West End of Brighton or is the PH-Media office really based in the East End of Hove? I’ll let you make your own mind up.

Back in the earlier days, PH Media were a competitor of ours; but now they produce web-based Project Management Software for a number of vertical markets including Architects, Engineers, Marketing Agencies and Management Consultants.

For once parking was not an issue although my esteemed MD’s gas guzzling anti-planet monster truck did leave the adjacent vehicle requiring a can-opener to get out, we were literally 60 seconds away from the office entrance.

If you are a Retro fan, then you need to book an appointment at PH-Media and use the lift! The lift is awesome, there is no actually sliding door, the door on the lift is push/pull. So as you go up through the floors you get the sense of you are not actually moving. The other niche element to the lift is you can actually see the floor/ceiling between each level which is cleverly disguised with a cunning piece of black plastic.

Honestly the lift is awesome, and the good news IT people is that PH-Media are soon to be launching Project Management Software for the IT Sector as well, so it will leave you with no excuse to get your projects in order and give you a valid opportunity to check out the ‘Retro Lift of The Year’.

It was also nice to finish a Friday afternoon in a pub with a pint in one’s hand rather than a stack of paperwork. In fact can you actually call an office an office unless there is a pub/bar nearby?

Just landed in my inbox is an appointment in June for a demo of PH-Media’s new IT related project management software at Fresh Egg towers – Too bad, I wanted to get back over to the Brighton and into the retro lift again. No doubt I will have another chance soon.
