Russell McAthy - A Man of Taste

David Showell

Senior Account Strategist Russell McAthy has some rather exotic tastes when it comes to food, and has sampled the varied delights of such delicacies as alligator, kangaroo, baby scorpions and even bull’s private parts in the past. Here in Worthing, we’re proud of the cosmopolitan selection of local restaurants; sadly for Russell, as far as we know there aren’t any that offer these specialities just yet.

A keen and accomplished footballer, Russell played to county standard in Kent and is now looking for a team to join in the local area. Happy to play anywhere but in goal, this pacey Manchester United fan is sure to be a hit on the playing fields of Sussex in the coming months.

When not charging through the midfield or eating some lizard’s toe (I might have made that one up), Russell enjoys gaming. His favourites include Call of Duty for the Xbox, and he’s also partial to playing MMOs on the PC. Worryingly, he says he likes playing these games with his friends while not having to sit near them!

Russell also likes movies, cooking and nights out, especially if they involve dancing, as he’s keen to show off his moves. He describes his drinking skills as lightweight, but a few months working here may change all that. He claims never to have suffered a hangover – be warned, Russell, some people at Fresh Egg Towers might see that as a challenge.

Having built up some important experience in various aspects of the web, including analytical and strategic roles in the leisure industry, Russell is happy to join us at Fresh Egg. He’s particularly keen to work for a company that offers services across the complete spectrum of media marketing. One of his favourite expressions sums this up nicely:

“Efficiency is doing things right.... effectiveness is doing the right things”

Welcome to Worthing, Russell.
