My name is Alex and it’s been two weeks since I started here at the famous Fresh Egg offices in Worthing and for starters I’m still here, so it’s not all bad.

Social media has been on the agenda from day one and with a healthy input from social media/marketing guru Claire Stokoe I have been crawling my way through the blogosphere.

Starting with health and beauty I was soon hijacked to carry out SEO research in the rather less glamorous sexual health and STD areas of the internet. Not something I knew an awful lot about (thank goodness). But to be fair I’ve learned a lot… about social media that is… well OK sexual health as well.  Highly educational in more ways than one, but I was forced to look at some rather gruesome images (see below).

The most important thing I’ve learned in these brief two weeks (augmented by a long weekend of  “ research”  in Amsterdam!) is that whatever project  you are working on or whichever client you are working with,  communications and defining clear objectives are essential.  As long as everyone is on the same page there’s very little that can go wrong… fingers crossed, it’s only been two weeks and I have a lot to learn.

Luckily I am working with a great team and I’m looking forward to learning a lot more about the SEO process, but maybe not about sexual health.
